So, I had NO idea what we were getting ourselves into when we bought this house. Things need to be done to this house. When I say things I mean every little possible thing you can imagine!
I feel like we are just making the house worse by tearing up the walls, ripping up the carpet, taking out the plumbing, and punching holes in the ceiling. Oh wait, we are. Again, WHAT WERE WE THINKING?!
Some things to notice in this picture....

First the doorway. Kory is about 6 inches taller than it, and bumps his head every time! That isn't tile on the wall, it is plastic made to look like tile. Which in turn means the super glue holding it on won't come off, which leads to us knocking out the wall.

We then come to realize there are about 4 different layers of wallpaper. I think the people that used to live here liked to slap a different design on about every ten years.
We think this one is 50's or 60's.

This one is maybe 30's or 40's.

And this we think is the smallest full bathroom known to man. ( notice no shower)

I didn't know that you bought a house. That is exciting!! I bet it will look nice when you are done.
ReplyDeleteCassidy and I bought a condo last July and we had to redo the upstairs bathroom pronto. It was horrible!!! I wish now I would have taken pictures before and after, but at the time the before was soooo bad I just wanted to get rid of it ASAP. But it's true, you will be SO much happier after everything is done. Our bathroom is tiny but it was sooo stressful and such a big project, so I can only imagine but again... it'll be worth it!!!
ReplyDeleteHopscotch forever.
I am so glad you finally put pictures up! Now when we talk I'll actually know what you're talking about!
ReplyDeleteIt'll be amazing once it's all done! Good luck!
i hope you have fun doing all of this, it looks like it has lots of potential. you know you could always call one of those HGTV shows to come help you! that would be exciting! It will fun to see when its done. keep us posted on your blog!
ReplyDeleteI think your bathroom is way cute! I'm going to blog about our flood soon. Trust me--you'll feel much better.
ReplyDeleteI just read my last comment and it didn't seem to make anything better so thoroughly ignore that! :) Anyway, ohhh my gosh pine nuts were so awesome. I still eat them today, how weird is that?? I have so many weird random memories except they only come to me in at the weirdest times, work is not one of them. But tell me when you are free and what your schedule is like. I've been in a terrible rut... I don't do anything!! Get me out!
