Whitney!! How are you, lovely girl? What a pleasure to come across you in this infinite internet abyss!! My vote: KEEP THAT POLE! It is most glorious! BUT, if you get rid of it-send it my way!!
It's an antique (or so it looks). I vote to keep it. It looks classic and probably goes with your older home. However, I would spray paint it black and spruce up the lighting. Maybe spray paint (the green part) white. It's what can make your house unique.
My vote... keep it. It is unique. Where would you find one of those things again if you tried. And yes, it fits the era of your home. I say, keep the green (its fun and retro) but most definitely spray paint the heck out of the whole pole and the black parts of the light. The green with fit so perfectly with the new cute blue-ish paint you've got going on in that room. Just don't make it your focal point. And don't make a moose head your focal point instead. Geeeshh, I'm rambling. Love ya! Bachlor party on Monday!
At first I was thinking you should get rid of it but then after reading the other comments, I agree! I think it'd be way cute if you painted it black. Especially when you have your other furniture in there so it's not the only thing in the room. Oh and use this as a bargaining chip with Kory so he gets his pole (which is cute) and he doesn't get to hang up the moose head (which is mostly just terrifying)!
I'm excited to see your at our little Bachelor party on Monday!
I liked it. Put some new lamp shades on it and you got yourself one good looking light piece:) Plus it is always nice to have a stripper pole in the house.
Ok I am leaving another comment to answer the one you left on mine. I don't have your number-mine is 671-3636. Jon is out of town until Friday night so it is just me and Wellyn so if you want to play let me know. I can either bring Wells or find a babysitter:)
